INVITATION: You are Invited to an Educational Workshop on October 28th, 2007

Dear members of the Turkish-American Community,

As the 2008 Presidential Elections are approaching, we have organized a workshop in San Francisco to go over and discuss how to get better involved with the political system in the U.S that will be led by Mr. G. Lincoln McCurdy. Turkish American Alliance for Fairness (TAAF) and Turkish American Association of California (TAAC) are co-sponsoring this educational event.

We are very lucky to have Mr. McCurdy to lead the workshop, who is the President of Turkish Coalition of America (TCA). He has over 30 years of experience in both U.S. government service and private sector, and led trade/investment missions and U.S. congressional delegations to Turkey. In this workshop, Mr. McCurdy will discuss the importance and "how-to"s of getting involved with the system, as well as the status of various congressional issues that impact our community. Similar workshops were held in Detroit, Washington, D.C. and Dallas, generating quite an excitement and successful results.

TAAF still would like to believe that common sense will prevail at the end of the day and HR.106 will either not reach the House floor, or be voted down.
